Today was a momentous day in our lives: we mailed off the final payment on our mortgage and now own the home free and clear! I can not tell you how exciting this is and what a huge weight has been lifted off our shoulders. I know that we were paying my brother, not a big mortgage company, who has been really cool about things. (He let us skip a payment when Bob's Dad passed away so he could fly back for the funeral) Still its the idea that the house is all ours now.
